Musician’s badges are awarded to cadets who have achieved specified standards for playing an instrument (whether within or outside of the RAF Air Cadets), or for playing with a band at different levels.

There are four types of musician’s badges:

1. Drummers

2. Trumpeters

3. Pipers

4. Instrumentalists.

 

Blue levels are awarded at squadron level, bronze for playing with a wing band, silver for playing with a regional band, and gold for playing with a national band or choir.
